Zoe Cohen

I have been in marketing and a graphic designer since 1990 and still cannot imagine doing anything else. I started ZLC Design in 2001 with the determination to provide clients with marketing services that would make any size company shine. It was with that goal that I worked to combine my clients' objectives, budgets and marketing solutions to promote their business.

In 2015 I began the process of buying Hometown Magazines, from Doug Bower, as an extension to what I already do. You see, for many years I had received the publication at my home and always saw the value in it, so whenever I knew a client could benefit from advertising, I sent them to Doug. This win/win helped to grow both our businesses, so when the opportunity to buy the business presented itself, I jumped at it. Since that time I have had the opportunity to learn from Doug the many in's and out's of the business. My goal was to maintain the same high standards of the company while adding my own touch. It has been a pleasure working with so many amazing businesses and I am grateful to their lasting confidence in me.

It is my hope that you continue to see the great value in the publications.

Update 2021
After careful evaluation I regret that it is necessary for me to close Hometown Magazines. The decision to discontinue the Best of Ellicott City and Best of Columbia publications was not an easy one as I have enjoyed providing marketing and savings for those in my community. I will continue to run my ZLC Design business as I have for 20 years.
